Grundfos Gulf, the region’s leading pump design and technology company, is continuing to invest heavily in training for its extensive network of Partners and dealers across the wider Middle East, with 29 separate training sessions across 11 different countries already completed so far this year.
The training sessions are designed to equip Partners and dealers with the in-depth product and market knowledge they need to recommend, sell and service Grundfos extensive range of pump solutions which serve a range of applications from drinking and waste water treatment to agriculture, chemical and pharmaceutical processing and even food and drink manufacture.
As well as product and system-based training courses, which generally last for up to two days, the latest course, in Turkey, was biased towards improving sales technique. Attendees were shown how to develop in-depth sales strategies based on more detailed planning and use of models to evaluate enquiries and new market developments and turn them into positive sales opportunities.
Grundfos' regional General Manager, Kostas Poulopoulos, is delighted to see so many dealers now pushing to get staff on the courses, which are run generally by regional product managers with a vast depth of knowledge of both pump solutions and applications in the local area.
“Pump technology is moving forward at such a pace, with the new breed of intelligent pumps systems, capable of virtually thinking for themselves to accommodate changes in system demand, offering massive savings in energy and ongoing maintenance, as well as promoting much more efficient process operation, it is essential for dealers to be kept up to date with changes”, he said.
“Although extensive help is available through our on-line training modules and other training materials, our training sessions give attendees the opportunity to network with other partners and discuss local developments, whilst learning and sharpening the techniques they need in a sales environment”.
